Delivery FAQ's

1 Who do we use for our deliveries?
All our deliveries are currently made using the Royal Mail Service, (both in the UK and outside the UK).
2

How much do delivery charges cost?
As of October 2007 we have introduced shipping charges based on weight for all orders under £30. This system is much fairer for all customers, and shipping charges start from as little as £0.60p.  Orders over £30 will continue to receive FREE SHIPPING.

We believe our shipping rates are amongst the cheapest, as we only want to cover shipping costs, rather than make money on shipping and packaging.

International delivery costs vary according to destination and delivery method. Please see below.

3 How long will delivery take?
Most of our delivery is normally made using Royal Mail Second Class postal delivery or Parcel Force Standard Service, and usually takes between 2 and 3 working days.

International Delivery times vary accoring to destination and delivery method. Please see below.
4 How is the cost of shipping determined?
As mentioned above our shipping charges are based on weight and banded into shipping weights to work alongside Royal Mail price bands. Please note that the shipping weight of goods is not determined by the manufacturer's weight of the yarn, but rather by the final weight of your goods when packed and ready for dispatch. This is why a 50 gram ball of wool will usually be banded in the 50-100 gram price band, as the final packed weight will be over the 50 gram price limit.
5 When will my goods be dispatched?
We always try to dispatch orders within 2 - 3 days if receiving the order. However if this cannot be done, we will email you with why they may be a delay on your order.  You will receive an e-mail from us when you order has been dispatched.
6 What happens if my order is out of stock?
Unlike some companies, we only advertise products that we physically have in store, or carry as regular stock items. In some extreme cases the particular quantity may not be available due to a large amount being required, or the items being sold-out in store on the day of ordering.
In these cases we will contact you directly to exlpain the situation, and give you the option to proceed or cancel your order.
7 Can I request a special delivery method?
Yes, however you should contact us either before or at the time of placing your order, and we will arrange accordingly. Please note that most special delivery method cost more than standard delivery.
8 Is my delivery insured?
Yes, we make sure that all items are adequately insured prior to being posted, and always obtain proof of postage / dispatch.
9 My order has not arrived - what should I do?
If you have received your dispatch e-mail, and your order has not arrived within 5 days of e-mail receipt, please contact us and we will investigate for you.
10 Can I order goods for delivery to Ireland?
Certainly. If you live in Northend Ireland, please proceed and check out using standard UK delivery option. If you live in the Republic Of Ireland, please choose "Republic Of Ireland" option when you check out.
11 Do you offer international delivery and how much does it cost?
We are able to post items to worldwide. Obviously there are different services and costs related to international delivery, so for deliveries outside of the UK and Republic Of Ireland, please contact us prior to ordering and we will be happy to provide you with delivery details and costs for international delivery.
